Position Overview: We are currently in search of a proficient Foundry Equipment Project Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing projects related to custom-designed vibrating machinery tailored for foundries and various heavy industrial sectors. Collaborating closely with seasoned designers and sales teams, you will utilize your expertise in foundry processes and engineering to guarantee successful project delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and estimate costs for primarily custom foundry machinery, ensuring compliance with client specifications.
  • Develop technical specifications and create detailed proposals that encompass both technical and pricing elements.
  • Conduct and supervise testing on materials provided by clients, focusing on processes such as casting cooling, sand screening, and conveyance, either in our laboratory or at client sites.
  • Guide the creation of engineering drawings for equipment, ensuring they meet both customer approval and manufacturing standards, which may involve site visits for measurements and process evaluations.
  • Review and develop comprehensive equipment manuals that include detailed operational instructions for foundry or industrial machinery.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and clients, addressing field issues as they arise, which may require occasional site visits.
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects, delegating tasks and ensuring timely completion across various phases.
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including internal departments, sales representatives, vendors, and clients.
  • Ensure all documentation meets customer requirements.
  • Assist in the startup of equipment, either remotely or on-site.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical engineering, casting technologies, and foundry processes.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in foundry or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with standard fabrication methods and materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as MS Office and MathCAD; knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
