JOB OVERVIEW:
The Senior Electrical Project Engineer is tasked with overseeing the comprehensive electrical engineering responsibilities for designated projects. This role encompasses all stages of an electrical engineering initiative, from initial concept through to completion, including research, estimating support, component selection, network architecture, panel configuration, device arrangement, troubleshooting, programming, in-house testing, on-site installation, commissioning, and post-sales assistance.

A successful Senior Project Engineer possesses an advanced understanding of electrical engineering principles, methodologies, and programming, enabling them to effectively manage the electrical engineering aspects of a project from inception to execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Formulate, oversee, and uphold project timelines.
- Delegate daily tasks to project team members.
- Interpret and comprehend project scope from contractual documents and schematics.
- Communicate project, departmental, and organizational requirements to team members and stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are completed successfully while prioritizing safety, quality, timelines, and budget.
- Engage in the design of comprehensive control systems, including power distribution, device layout, network design, and panel configuration.
- Participate in programming for both HMI and PLC of the complete control systems.
- Develop Descriptions of Operations for entire systems.
- Convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership and clients.
- Participate in the commissioning of complete control systems.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and collaborate with management to implement improvements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role involves both office and field settings, fostering a collaborative and success-oriented culture.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Willingness to travel up to 50%.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical requirements for this position include prolonged periods of sitting, repetitive typing/data entry, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

WORK SCHEDULE:
This position offers a flexible work schedule, with general office hours typically from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM. Working hours may vary based on job site requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the electrical engineering sector, with at least 6 years in the Material Handling Industry, particularly in Baggage Handling.
- At least 2 years of experience as an Electrical Project Engineer.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain airport security clearance as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- In-depth understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Advanced proficiency in various programming languages and control device networks for PLCs, with a strong aptitude for learning new systems.
- Ability to interpret and develop designs that adhere to electrical design standards and project specifications.
- Familiarity with concepts, practices, and procedures related to controls, material handling, and manufacturing.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a willingness to travel as needed.
