Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager to contribute to the Trilon Group's mission. Our vision is driven by engaged professionals who are passionate about their work, whether in a collaborative office environment or a flexible remote setting.
Core Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design of potable water distribution and/or wastewater collection systems, while also supporting the design of treatment facilities.
  • Evaluate the necessity for water and/or wastewater treatment solutions based on current and anticipated population growth and development needs; perform feasibility assessments for public utility infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct analyses of various water and/or wastewater treatment technologies, providing recommendations for optimal solutions.
  • Develop and specify project designs and specifications.
  • Execute feasibility studies related to water or wastewater collection, treatment, or distribution, and compile comprehensive technical reports.
  • Offer technical guidance and expertise to clients on water resource challenges.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on proposals, presentations, and project scopes.
  • Mentor and train junior engineering staff.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Preferred experience in designing water and/or wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in public infrastructure projects within the Water Resources sector.
  • Experience managing projects across multiple states is essential.
  • Proven project and client management capabilities.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff while actively participating in the design and detailing of multi-discipline water/wastewater projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated urgency and initiative in meeting client requirements and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented team player committed to fostering a positive work environment.
