POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Electrical Project Coordinator is tasked with overseeing the comprehensive execution of projects, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, project scope, budgetary constraints, specifications, and timelines, while also addressing client requirements. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of electrical engineers, project managers, field superintendents, and installers to successfully deliver profitable projects. The Senior Electrical Project Coordinator will primarily focus on managing Aegis's electrical scopes, developing and executing electrical work packages, and liaising with subcontractors as dictated by project demands. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently, managing budgets, scopes, and schedules for all assigned projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish, maintain, and comply with a project timeline that fulfills contractual obligations.
  • Supervise multiple projects within a program related to electrical engineering.
  • Evaluate and refine existing processes and tools within the team to align with industry standards.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of electrical drawings and work packages.
  • Lead the development and improvement of Aegis's standard documentation and procedures to boost quality and efficiency.
  • Continuously seek to expand knowledge of industry best practices and cutting-edge technology for the entire team.
  • Utilize and develop Aegis standards in electrical engineering.
  • Define and monitor KPIs that reflect the team's success.
  • Guide, direct, and support multiple projects through the detailed design and implementation phases.
  • Provide insights for the creation of Functional Design Documents and System Performance as well as Commissioning plans.
  • Formulate electrical engineering work plans and resource needs to ensure successful project milestones.
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive system power calculations and documentation of power requirements.
  • Review and create Electrical Engineering work packages as necessary.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables comply with industry standards, customer specifications, and Aegis standards.
  • Lead project teams and assist resources during the development of RFP/Supplier Selection, detailed electrical design packages, equipment procurement activities, and installation support.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and clients to develop and review control layouts, achieving design acceptance.
  • Embrace and promote Aegis's core values in all aspects of work.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in electrical engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Distribution & Material Handling (preferred).
  • At least 7 years' relevant experience in electrical engineering.
  • Willingness to travel and work on project sites as needed.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Experience with conveyor control processes (photoeyes, solenoids, variable frequency drives, line scanners, print and apply applications).
  • Familiarity with control panel design.
  • Ability to interpret 2D and 3D construction drawings.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Electrical), Eplan, and other design software.
  • Capability to devise solutions for installation and mechanical challenges.
  • Skill in assessing progress and identifying scheduling issues promptly.
  • Knowledge of managing multiple suppliers effectively.
  • Experience with Functional safety, SISTEMA.
  • Understanding of electrical compliance standards IEC60204-1, IEC61439.
  • Proficient in MS Project and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in standard design for relevant material handling equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Active job sites may involve exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, electrical systems, and heights.
  • Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory at active job sites.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physical demands are representative of those necessary to perform essential job functions successfully.
  • Frequent walking, kneeling, crouching, and balancing.
  • Regular climbing of ladders, stairs, and ramps.
  • Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Travel may be required, averaging up to 50%, with potential peaks of up to 100% based on project needs.
