Position Summary

As a Lead Business Systems Analyst at CapTech, you will collaborate closely with essential business and technical stakeholders to gather solution requirements, guide the design process, and ensure that the final product aligns with business objectives. Our analysts engage in a wide range of projects, from mobile applications and content management systems to extensive integration and modernization initiatives across various business sectors. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions, ensuring that the outcomes are both valuable and sustainable to adapt to the evolving demands of the organization. This role is hybrid in nature.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rapidly familiarize yourself with client challenges and technologies to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and trusted advisor to stakeholders.
  • Contribute significantly in a collaborative team environment throughout all stages of the system delivery lifecycle.
  • Support the technical team in designing solutions, including data modeling, interface design, and defining state transitions.
  • Analyze data to comprehend existing data structures and quality, assessing their impact on the client's business goals.
  • Facilitate the connection between technical and business perspectives to ensure high-quality, impactful solutions are delivered.
  • Evaluate the current organizational state and collaborate with clients to outline the desired future state, including success metrics.
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify capability deficiencies within the organization and propose alternative solutions to meet business needs.
  • Coordinate integration and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Engage with client leadership to outline high-level business requirements and gather feature definitions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience as a Business Systems Analyst on IT-related projects.
  • Familiarity with multi-system integration and common challenges associated with enterprise technology integration.
  • Experience in creating visual representations such as sequence, data flow, and process flow diagrams for future state visualization.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented development practices and the ability to define organizational objects and processes.
  • Understanding of contemporary IT architecture solutions (Cloud, APIs, etc.).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with senior business leaders and technical teams.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing basic SQL queries is required.
  • Preferred experience in software development or related educational background.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring junior analysts is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Prior consulting experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to meet with local clients as necessary.
