Position Overview

Role: Senior ERP Business Systems Analyst

Contract Duration: 6 Months, with potential for continuous renewals

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite

Candidate Requirements: Local candidates only

Location: Richmond, VA

Note: No C2C candidates will be considered

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify operational goals by analyzing various departmental functions, collecting data, and assessing output needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document existing business workflows and offer support in creating new processes for each area impacted by the ERP system.
  • Engage with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to document and communicate all facets of change management.
  • Evaluate and analyze business workflows for efficiency.
  • Assess business and user requirements, documenting them accurately and translating them into detailed system specifications.
  • Consult with staff across departments to pinpoint opportunities for technical solutions that enhance or automate business processes.
  • Work alongside stakeholders to boost operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate communication between business users and IT teams, ensuring consistent updates to management.
  • Track and report on the status of business initiatives, providing support and guidance to fellow business analysts.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success in analyzing and documenting intricate business processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and use cases.
  • Proficient in creating clear and comprehensive documentation.
  • Skilled in modeling techniques, requirements gathering, and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with business modeling and analysis tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucid Chart, or similar software.
  • Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather requirements effectively.
  • Experience in converting business requirements into detailed system specifications.
  • Competence in creating process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and other relevant documentation.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and lead meetings, including drafting agendas and minutes.
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative approach to working with project managers and development teams.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools and project management software.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff.
  • Experience in presenting analysis findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
  • Strong background in at least one functional area: Fiscal, IT, or HR.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in analysis implementation (ten years preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over ten years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, particularly in IT development projects.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Experience with database querying (SQL, Oracle, and/or Crystal).
  • Familiarity with the system development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Understanding of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of project management concepts and practices.
  • Experience with task entry and tracking using Jira.
