Key Responsibilities:

Primary Objective of the Role

The selected candidate will engage in sophisticated technical and engineering problem-solving to support the operations of nuclear facilities. This role involves making critical technical decisions and requires a robust understanding of engineering principles and industry regulations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert technical guidance to formulate, oversee, and execute engineering analyses and initiatives.
  • Engage directly to identify and resolve issues related to equipment and systems.
  • Manage engineering tasks comprehensively as assigned by supervisory personnel.
  • Ensure the precision, thoroughness, and promptness of work, adhering to established design standards and regulatory codes.
  • Conduct independent research and analysis to support various technical projects.
  • Propose innovative equipment and methodologies to enhance performance, streamline construction, reduce expenses, rectify design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Overseeing the management and execution of the Asset Management Program across the nuclear fleet, including preparing inspection scopes.
  • Ensuring a uniform approach to program inspections across nuclear stations.
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for inspection and testing, collaborating with Responsible Engineers to fulfill program requirements.
  • Maintaining program documentation in line with industry standards and best practices.
  • Preparing periodic health reports for the program and presenting findings to leadership.
  • Drafting regulatory submissions for review by relevant authorities.
  • Leading interactions with regulatory bodies and coordinating responses to findings.
  • Conducting self-assessments of the program at nuclear sites.
  • Participating in industry forums and reviewing operational experiences for program impact.
  • Coordinating with NDE professionals to support program implementation during outages.

Position Levels:

This engineering position is available at Entry, Mid-level, or Senior Engineer levels. Please refer to the qualifications below for each level.

Compensation Range:

Entry Level: $72K - $80K

Mid-Level: $88,200 - $108,000

Senior Level: $115,200 - $141,000

These salary ranges are annual and based on experience, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.

Minimum Qualifications:

Entry Level E01 Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Mid-level E02 Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience in nuclear or related engineering.

Senior E03 Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Licensed Professional Engineer with 5+ years of engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer Registration.
  • Advanced technical degree or relevant coursework.
  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • Experience with ASME Section XI.
  • Familiarity with BWR Vessel and Internals Programs.
  • Certifications or experience in NDE methods.

Licenses and Certifications:

The ideal candidate will have completed relevant training through recognized industry organizations and possess experience with regulatory compliance and inspection coordination.
