PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role involves advanced engineering problem-solving to support nuclear plant operations. The individual will be responsible for making technical decisions and will possess superior knowledge in their functional discipline and its practical application, along with a thorough understanding of relevant industry codes and regulations. The position requires recognized industry-level expertise in a technical area.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
+ Execute advanced engineering and technical tasks in support of nuclear plant operations.
+ Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for technical projects.
+ Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering activities that ensure plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability, while adhering to customer needs, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
+ Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, maintaining proper configuration management and compliance with standard design criteria, practices, and codes in the preparation of plans and specifications.
+ Offer technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
+ Manage engineering tasks effectively.
+ Recommend equipment, innovative concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, rectify design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
+ Support modifications, testing, and problem-solving related to plant design.
+ Ensure all engineering outputs comply with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
+ Develop, implement, and coordinate functional supervisory activities, including personnel management, budgetary responsibilities, and planning objectives for engineering staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-level Engineer
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior Engineer
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Licensed Professional Engineer with at least 5 years of engineering experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior Staff Engineer
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Licensed Professional Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional Engineering Registration, advanced technical degree, or relevant coursework.
