PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role involves advanced technical and engineering problem-solving to support nuclear plant operations. The position is responsible for making technical decisions and requires a strong understanding of the functional discipline and its practical applications, as well as a thorough knowledge of relevant industry codes and regulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Deliver comprehensive technical expertise to develop, manage, and execute engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
- Offer technical guidance and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
- Oversee the management of engineering tasks and issues.
- Execute engineering assignments as directed by supervision, applying engineering principles effectively.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, maintaining proper configuration management and adhering to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes in the preparation of plans and specifications.
- Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and initiatives.
- Propose equipment, innovative concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, rectify design or material deficiencies, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-level E02 Engineer
- B.S. in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of experience in Nuclear or related engineering fields.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior E03 Engineer
- B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer with at least 5 years of engineering experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior Staff E04 Engineer
- B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Engineer Registration.
- Advanced technical degree or relevant coursework.
