Position Overview
This engineering position can be filled at the Mid-level to Senior Staff Engineer level. Please review the minimum qualifications outlined below for each level.
Expected Salary Range:
Mid-Level - $88,000 - $108,000
Senior Level - $115,000 - $141,000
Senior Staff - $138,000 - $160,000
These ranges are annual and based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and 401(k) contributions.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct advanced engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear facility operations. Responsible for making technical decisions.
Possess extensive knowledge in the functional discipline and its practical application, along with a thorough understanding of relevant industry codes and regulations.
Function with recognized industry-level expertise in a technical area.
Key Duties and Accountabilities
1. Execute advanced engineering and technical tasks to support nuclear facility operations.
2. Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for technical projects.
3. Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering activities related to plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability, ensuring compliance with customer needs, regulatory standards, and corporate policies.
4. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, and codes in the preparation of plans and specifications.
5. Offer technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
6. Manage engineering tasks effectively.
7. Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, rectify design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
8. Support plant design modifications, testing, and problem-solving initiatives.
9. Ensure all engineering outputs are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
10. Develop, implement, and coordinate functional supervisory activities, including personnel management, budgetary responsibilities, and planning objectives concerning engineering staff.
Minimum Qualifications
For Mid-level E02 Engineer: B.S. in Engineering and 2+ years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
For Senior E03 Engineer: B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer and 5+ years of engineering experience.
For Senior Staff E04 Engineer: B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer and 10+ years of engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineering Registration, advanced technical degree, or relevant coursework.
