We are in search of a Product Manager to join our expanding team. This pivotal role is essential for delivering key product innovations in an agile and efficient manner. As the inaugural Product Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping Decisions' product vision and strategy.

The ideal candidate will possess a rare combination of business acumen and technical knowledge, along with a broad vision and the determination to actualize that vision. You should enjoy engaging with customers to identify their challenges and devise innovative solutions for the wider market. Additionally, you will be the catalyst for executing that vision, collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Development, Sales, Support, and Professional Services teams, as well as User Experience design resources to enhance the product you oversee.

This role demands extensive experience within the insurance sector and the capability to undertake various responsibilities that support the organization's growth and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive Technical Expertise and Delivery for Your Product:

  • Formulate product strategy; establish the product vision, objectives, and roadmap for Decisions' specific offerings. Articulate a clear value proposition and identify the target audience for API products.
  • Manage the complete product lifecycle; develop project plans, set timelines, and allocate resources to achieve project milestones.
  • Oversee and coordinate various strategic initiatives, including assessing existing tools, supporting process enhancements, and facilitating building committee meetings.
  • Define testing protocols and collaborate with QA teams to ensure quality and reliability within Decisions—conduct testing, monitor for issues, and implement necessary improvements.

2. Build Consumer and Market Research to Inform Product Decisions:

  • Possess strong instincts for consumer products and user experience—you have a talent for discerning customer needs and exceeding their expectations.
  • Conduct market research and analysis: Stay updated on the fintech landscape, including market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies—identify opportunities for API-based products and services.
  • Independently gather and assess data insights, utilize key metrics to guide decisions, and collaborate with RevOps to define required analyses.

3. Lead Cross-Functional Communication to Enhance Organizational Efficiency:

  • Work with the executive team to prioritize and implement key business initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Streamline internal communication processes, ensuring effective information flow and timely updates on critical matters.
  • Proactively manage projects to drive progress without constant oversight—set objectives and pursue them diligently, ensuring alignment with team and organizational goals.
  • Conduct efficient and effective beta tests, swiftly adapt to quantitative and qualitative feedback, and actively share insights across teams and leadership.
  • Manage the product lifecycle, including enhancements and updates, while monitoring performance to identify successes and areas for improvement (efficient KPI tracking).
Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the insurance industry is essential.
  • Experience in enterprise software product management is advantageous.
  • Practical experience in customer insights, product strategy and planning, execution, data-driven outcomes, and leadership.
  • Exceptional communication skills with cross-functional teams, particularly at the executive level.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate complex and evolving environments; comfortable working through ambiguity.
  • PMP and/or Agile-focused certifications are a plus.
