Technical Documentation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join our core product team at CCRi. As a Technical Writer, you will play a critical role in creating clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation for our software applications.
Key Responsibilities- Author Technical Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation for software applications, including technical architecture, release notes, technical requirements, compliance measures, security and vulnerability reporting, and systems diagram visuals.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with customers, engineers, and subject matter experts to gather information, understand technical concepts, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Serve as Liaison: Serve as a liaison between internal teams and customers, aligning requirements with system architecture and product roadmap.
- Review and Update Documentation: Continuously review and update product documentation to remain relevant, accurate, and aligned with the latest software features and industry standards.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with domain experts, users, and management throughout the development lifecycle.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- U.S. Citizenship and Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility, and willingness to take a CI polygraph.
- Education and Experience: Typically requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field or related discipline. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Technical Skills: Ability to extract detailed technical information from subject matter experts and synthesize it into clear, user-friendly documentation. Ability to use various methods and tools to visually represent the architecture and interactions within a system.
- Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Active Security Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with CI Poly.
- Software Engineering Principles: Understanding of formal software engineering principles, including design, documentation, ticketing systems, and Agile methodologies.
- Version Control and IDEs: Experience working in code repositories and basic version control practices (Git, Gitlab). Experience interacting with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).
- Complex Systems: Interested in maintaining and adapting complex systems.
