Job Description

UVA Health is seeking a seasoned Technical Analyst to join our dynamic Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications team.

You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and web site or other technology platform solutions.

You will work as a core member of the web development team within Digital Solutions.

This team is comprised of Digital Solutions Manager, UX Designer, Front End Developer and Digital Project Manager.

You will lead the group in gathering, analyzing, scoping and documenting business requirements, helping to define and shape the future of our projects, tasks and processes.

You strive to keep work following agile and scrum methodologies.

Your ability to translate complex business needs into actionable insights and recommendations will be instrumental in driving the success of the UVA Health digital web experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with a core team as well as business stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of goals and objectives.
  • Documentation and training: Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), use cases, process flow diagrams, and user stories to communicate requirements effectively to development teams.
  • Industry knowledge: Some knowledge of healthcare industry-specific regulations and compliance standards (ie HIPAA and recent HHS regulations)
  • Process: Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies. Identify and recommend process improvements, workflow optimizations, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Project Support: Assist and partner with project manager in project planning, scoping, and monitoring, ensuring that projects are delivered on time.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data, processes, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, optimization, and innovation. Familiarity with data modeling and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Validation: Verify that the proposed solutions align with business requirements and objectives by conducting validation tests and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Position Compensation Range: $57, $92,643.20 Annual

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of business analyst, technical analyst or similar technical strategy role experience required. Two (2) years of Technology or digital agency experience preferred. Experience with healthcare related clients preferred
  • Licensure: None.
Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.

The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
