Key Responsibilities
Current Positions Available:
Buyer
- Develop and execute supply strategies to enhance cost efficiency, quality, and delivery for New Product Development (NPD) initiatives.
- Prepare and revise cost estimates and quotations.
- Collaborate with accounting on project cost consolidations and various cost types.
- Manage requests for quotes (RFQ) to assist stakeholders and NPD projects.
- Ensure early and continuous supplier and procurement engagement in the NPD cycle.
- Establish robust, value-driven relationships with suppliers, internal clients, and cross-functional teams.
- Provide supply forecasts and schedules as necessary.
- Support planning efforts to reduce inventory levels and prevent obsolescence.
- Understand and communicate non-disclosure agreements and warranty terms.
- Work with sourcing, planning, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Lead sourcing efforts for projects when needed.
- Inform sourcing management of any significant supplier challenges and risks that may impact component supply.
- Assist in maintaining data accuracy across all relevant systems.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Material Planner
- Oversee the Material Planning function by managing inventory levels to meet forecasted turnover rates and scheduling needs.
- Establish and maintain integrated processes among Operations, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing Services, and external suppliers to implement the planning and replenishment systems.
- Schedule and manage part change notifications (e.g., ECNs) while minimizing inventory obsolescence.
- Handle overdue order management effectively.
- Reduce expediting times and freight costs associated with inventory challenges.
- Collaborate closely with management and key decision-makers across all functional areas to ensure a steady supply of materials to various locations.
- Manage supplier relationships to facilitate timely material delivery to our warehouses and dealers.
- Engage with individuals at all levels within the supplier's organization, from entry-level staff to senior management.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable on invoicing matters as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 0 - 2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to evaluate the economic implications of supplier tooling costs, lead times, and unit pricing.
- Proficient in PC applications, including Excel, Oracle, PowerPoint, and SAP.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
- Background in mechanical or inventory control is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow instructions in English.
- Willingness to travel is required.
