Position Overview:

Movement Search & Delivery is looking for a skilled and experienced Controls Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented Controls Engineers within our expanding manufacturing operations. This pivotal role focuses on spearheading significant capital initiatives aimed at enhancing and modernizing our operational equipment to boost efficiency, reliability, and overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise a team of Controls Engineers, offering mentorship, guidance, and performance assessments.
  • Manage the planning, design, execution, and commissioning of automation and control systems for substantial capital projects.
  • Collaborate with various departments including production, maintenance, and quality assurance to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Develop and uphold project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations to guarantee timely and cost-efficient project delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and deploy innovative automation strategies to enhance manufacturing processes and minimize operational expenses.
  • Diagnose and resolve intricate control system challenges, providing technical support and expertise as required.
  • Remain informed about advancements in automation technologies and industry best practices to foster continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline; advanced degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in controls and automation engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale capital projects within a manufacturing context.
  • Extensive knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities, with the proficiency to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
  • Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CAP, or PE are advantageous.
