Position Overview

The Supervisory Program Manager is responsible for overseeing program management for various business capabilities within the Department of Defense.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee program management activities, ensuring effective risk identification and resolution of customer support issues.
  • Utilize enterprise solutions to maintain performance metrics and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Analyze customer functional requirements and assist in designing Automated Information Systems (AIS) to meet those needs.
  • Manage the development and execution of agreements with other Department of Defense agencies and external vendors.
  • Supervise the development and maintenance of diverse applications that address a wide range of business requirements.
  • Evaluate system improvements and manage change requests from a strategic perspective.
Leadership and Management

Lead a team to identify risks and resolve customer support challenges while maintaining metrics through various enterprise solutions.

Exercise comprehensive program management responsibilities, including evaluating staffing needs, realigning personnel, and developing strategic plans and goals.

Requirements

Conditions of Employment: Must be a U.S. citizen. Appointment is subject to a favorable suitability determination. Non-Critical Sensitive position requiring Secret Access.

Qualifications: To qualify for this role, candidates must possess one year of specialized experience directly related to program management at the GS-14 level or equivalent.

Specialized Experience: Experience must include:

  • Preparing Performance Work Statements (PWS) for IT service contracts and evaluating proposals.
  • Providing leadership in coordinating and integrating multiple business systems.
  • Mentoring team members in IT project management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Supporting requirement gathering and agile methodologies while executing modernization efforts aligned with organizational goals.
Additional Information

This position requires completion of Program Management certification within 48 months unless a waiver is approved. The Defense Logistics Agency maintains a Drug-Free Workplace Policy, and selected candidates will undergo drug testing.
