Position Overview

The Supervisory Program Manager is responsible for overseeing program management for a diverse range of business capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct staff to identify potential risks and issues, resolve customer support challenges, and maintain performance metrics utilizing various enterprise solutions.
  • Analyze customer functional requirements and assist in designing Automated Information Systems (AIS) to meet those needs.
  • Oversee the development and execution of agreements with other Department of Defense (DoD) agencies and external vendors.
  • Manage the development and sustainability of various applications across a broad spectrum of business requirements.
  • Supervise system enhancements or change requests from a strategic, policy, capability, and procedural perspective.
  • Evaluate staffing, realign personnel and workloads to meet mission objectives, and establish plans and priorities for subordinate teams.
Conditions of Employment

Must be a U.S. citizen. This position is classified as Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access. Appointment is contingent upon a favorable suitability or fitness determination. Background checks that are unfavorably adjudicated may result in removal from the position.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Supervisory Program Manager position, candidates must demonstrate:

  • One year of specialized experience that equips them with the necessary competencies to perform the duties of the role, specifically in program management.
  • Experience at the GS-14 level or equivalent, including managing IT service contracts and providing leadership in coordinating multiple business systems.
  • Proficiency in IT project management, particularly within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
Additional Information

This position requires the completion of Program Management (A) certification within 48 months unless a waiver is approved. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) maintains a Drug-Free Workplace Policy, and selected candidates may be subject to drug testing.
