Core Responsibilities:
- Design and refine manufacturing workflows with an emphasis on automation to elevate efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Implement, program, and sustain automated systems, robotics, and machinery, ensuring seamless integration with current production operations.
- Utilize Autodesk software for the design and modeling of automated systems, equipment layouts, and production methodologies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including production, quality control, and maintenance, to pinpoint automation opportunities and process enhancements.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes and apply automation strategies to decrease manual tasks, boost throughput, and minimize errors.
- Create and uphold comprehensive documentation, including process diagrams, automation protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance instructions.
- Diagnose and resolve challenges with automated equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent production flow.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement by employing lean manufacturing principles and automation technologies to improve overall plant productivity.
- Conduct time assessments, cost evaluations, and ROI analyses for proposed automation initiatives to substantiate investments.
- Educate and assist production personnel in the operation of automated systems, ensuring proficiency in equipment handling and troubleshooting.
- Remain informed about the latest advancements in automation technology and manufacturing best practices, integrating new tools and techniques to sustain a competitive advantage.
- Ensure compliance of all automated systems with industry safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, emphasizing automation and process enhancement.
- Proficiency in Autodesk software, including but not limited to AutoCAD and Inventor, for the design and modeling of manufacturing systems.
- Experience in the design and implementation of automated systems, including robotics, PLCs, and other control systems.
- Strong grasp of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and methodologies for process improvement.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Capability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering documentation.
- Strong project management skills, with the capacity to lead and execute automation projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the skill to collaborate effectively across various departments.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations pertaining to automated systems.
