Position Overview:

The Supervisory Program Manager is accountable for overseeing program management for diverse business functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage personnel to identify potential risks and issues, resolve customer support challenges, and track performance metrics utilizing various enterprise solutions.
  • Analyze customer functional needs and assist in designing Automated Information Systems (AIS) to meet those needs.
  • Oversee the formulation and execution of agreements with other Department of Defense agencies and external vendors.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of a range of applications catering to various business requirements.
  • Supervise system enhancements or modification requests from a strategic, policy, capability, and procedural perspective.
  • Exercise comprehensive program management duties for designated areas, assess staffing needs, realign personnel and workloads to meet mission objectives, and establish plans and priorities for subordinate teams.
Requirements:

Conditions of Employment: Must be a U.S. citizen.
Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access. Appointment is contingent upon a favorable suitability or fitness determination; adverse background checks may result in removal.

Qualifications:

To qualify for the Supervisory Program Manager (IT Solutions) position, candidates must demonstrate:

  • One year of specialized experience directly related to this role.
  • Experience at the GS-14 level or equivalent in other pay systems within federal service, military, or private sector.
Specialized Experience Includes:
  • Preparation of Performance Work Statements (PWS) for IT service contracts, evaluation of proposals for quotes, and oversight of contract surveillance activities.
  • Leadership and guidance in coordinating and integrating multiple business systems.
  • Mentoring team members in IT project management aligned with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within the ITIL framework.
  • Understanding of requirement gathering, agile methodologies, and modernization efforts that align with organizational strategic goals.
Additional Information:

This position requires Program Management (A)/ PM, Advanced acquisition certification within 48 months unless a waiver is approved. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) enforces a Drug-Free Workplace Policy, and selected candidates for testing designated positions will undergo urinalysis for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
