Client Account Coordinator

Overview: Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a dedicated Account Specialist to enhance our operations. In this position, you will utilize your skills in strategizing, executing, and managing targeted marketing initiatives within the industry. Your consultative sales approach will be essential as you engage with engineers, maintenance teams, purchasing agents, and other stakeholders to understand their specific applications and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily reviews and manage requisitions as assigned.
- Enter data into AIT's and customer systems to facilitate quotes, issue purchase orders, and maintain blanket purchase orders for relevant business activities.
- Assess and resolve changes in part numbers through the MSSR function, collaborating with manufacturers and customer personnel to secure approval for changes prior to material receipt. Inform customers about obsolete or discontinued items.
- Identify and eliminate duplicate stock codes or products.
- Monitor lead times for items on the forecast.
- Collaborate with service centers to gather information on weekly backlog and overdue reports.
- Work with service centers and customers to expedite order fulfillment.
- Provide assistance in product sourcing and actively pursue products within our supply scope.
- Address specific issues related to notifications.
- Engage directly with warehouse personnel and service centers to resolve receiving discrepancies.
- Track, monitor, and resolve all product warranty issues in coordination with the service center.
- Document and track cost savings achieved by Applied and the value added for our customers.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience, traits, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing-related fields.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated success in developing new business, fostering repeat business, and managing a sales territory.
- Strong relationship-building skills at all levels with customers and prospective organizations.
- Ability to conduct hands-on product demonstrations for customers and prospects; mechanical aptitude is essential.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a related field of Applied products, such as bearings, power transmission components, fluid power, or general industrial supplies.

- Self-starter, self-motivated, and willing to undertake various tasks to achieve objectives.
