KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Client Services Associate plays a crucial role in nurturing and expanding existing client relationships while forging new connections. This position involves addressing all service-related inquiries, facilitating new account transactions, guiding clients in their choice of various accounts and financial offerings, and promoting the Bank's suite of products and services.

The individual will be tasked with:

  • Conducting client interviews to gather necessary information and verify the identity of new clients while assessing their needs.
  • Assisting clients in selecting appropriate accounts, products, and financial services available through the Bank.
  • Utilizing professional sales techniques to identify and present cross-selling opportunities.
  • Making informed decisions regarding the establishment of new accounts, including assigning account numbers, completing necessary documentation, and verifying credit histories.
  • Issuing temporary checks until ordered checks are received, ensuring accuracy in client information.
  • Representing the Bank at various community and civic events to enhance its reputation and attract new business.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service by addressing client inquiries, investigating discrepancies, and resolving issues.
  • Issuing official checks and managing safe deposit operations, including account openings and access control.
  • Processing stop payment requests and hold orders efficiently.
  • Presenting funds received from clients to the teller for initial deposits, determining fund availability, and providing receipts.
  • Handling credit reports, wire transfers, credit card applications, and other account-related requests.
  • Answering phone calls and directing them to the appropriate Bank personnel.
  • Managing debit card applications and maintaining accurate records.
  • Providing training and support to less experienced branch staff.
  • Preparing routine correspondence, reports, and forms as needed.
  • Assisting with Teller duties as required.
  • Utilizing computer systems to process account activities, verify balances, and resolve issues within designated authority.
  • Staying informed about compliance regulations and policies relevant to this role, ensuring adherence to all applicable standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six months of experience in customer service, preferably in a Teller role.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with federal and state consumer compliance regulations.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Good data entry and mathematical skills.
  • Exceptional customer service aptitude.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands and work environment for this position include:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and sitting.
  • Frequent typing and use of a calculator.
  • Occasional lifting of office materials or equipment weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • A standard office environment with comfortable temperatures and minimal noise levels.
