Job Summary

Covenant Health is seeking a skilled Patient Account Representative to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for resolving Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) rejected or denied medical claims. Your expertise in billing requirements, insurance verification, and patient demographic information will ensure timely rebilling and accurate reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research to resolve EDI rejected or denied claims
  • Verify patient demographic and insurance eligibility information
  • Update patient account system with accurate information
  • Collaborate with billing supervisors and other team members to identify and resolve issues
  • Stay up-to-date with State and Federal regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and other Third Party Payer requirements
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, claims submission, and customer service
  • Ability to perform research on various systems and cross-check patient eligibility
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
