Job Title: Research Scientist - RNA Biology and Engineering

We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically rigorous Research Scientist to join our RNA team at GenScript/ProBio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing new RNA products using molecular biology methods, designing and engineering RNA constructs, and optimizing their quality and function.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects to deliver innovative results in preparative and purification methods for high-quality product development in RNA biology-related R&D fields.
  • Design and engineer new RNA products based on in vitro transcription methods.
  • Optimize RNA constructs and test new designs for their function.
  • Manage project timelines and leverage internal resources to push projects forward.
  • Generate, interpret, and present data to project teams.
  • Maintain accurate lab notebook records of performed studies.
  • Monitor supply inventory and identify required products.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, equipment, department, and storage areas.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Direct experience with nucleic acid design, synthesis, and assessment in tissue culture or animal models with a robust technical skill set.
  • Strong collaborative instinct with good time and resource management skills.
  • Broad molecular biology knowledge with the ability to apply engineering principles to solve problems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A sense of humility and an eagerness to continue learning and contributing to a supportive team.
  • PhD degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical science, or a related field.
  • >2 years of relevant experience in molecular biology, cellular biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
