Position Summary:
We are in search of a skilled and enthusiastic bioinformatics developer to create an AI-centric platform dedicated to the analysis of synthetic DNA and mRNA. This role will involve the collection and examination of extensive datasets derived from diverse sources, including sequencing, RNA folding, structural computations, and expression profiles. The successful candidate will engage in research and collaboration with scientists and engineers to innovate new molecular biology products and services, enhancing GenScript's proprietary semiconductor-based high-throughput DNA synthesis technology and mRNA sequence design through an AI-focused methodology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employ cutting-edge data mining technologies to process and analyze biological datasets, including DNA/protein sequences, sequencing data, RNA structure computations, and associated metadata.
- Design and develop computational models and methodologies to identify and address DNA/RNA synthesis biases, providing insights for quality optimization in DNA synthesis.
- Implement AI algorithms to enhance primer specificity and gene assembly processes.
- Investigate machine learning and other AI techniques to derive knowledge from large datasets, proposing effective solutions for nucleic acid synthesis.
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team to propose, design, plan, execute, and analyze experiments in research and development initiatives.
- Conduct statistical data analyses and effectively communicate findings.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in bioinformatics and AI technologies.
Qualifications:
- PhD or master's degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, molecular biology, genetics, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience with AI tools, algorithms, and models pertinent to bioinformatics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JAVA, Python, and R, along with familiarity with AI frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Demonstrated experience in integrating AI tools into bioinformatics workflows.
- Proven ability to design and optimize DNA primers and sequences using advanced computational techniques.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a talent for interpreting complex biological data.
- Ability to troubleshoot and enhance bioinformatics processes and workflows.
- Solid understanding of molecular biology, biochemistry, enzymology, and the mechanisms of DNA, RNA, and protein synthesis.
- Proven initiative and success in collaborative research projects with interdisciplinary teams.
- Excellent documentation skills, capable of preparing comprehensive documents including software design documentation, data summaries, and technical reports.
