Position Summary:
GenScript is seeking a highly driven and scientifically adept individual to join our Molecular Biology Research and Development team as a Research Associate. This role will concentrate on the development of cell-free amplification processes and quality control methodologies to facilitate the advancement of new DNA products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in research and development projects focusing on innovative enzymatic synthesis methods for DNA.
- Assist in the creation of new assays to support product development initiatives.
- Contribute to the drafting and evaluation of analytical method protocols.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations to effectively communicate scientific results within the team.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify necessary supplies.
- Ensure that the work environment, equipment, and storage areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
- 0-5 years of relevant experience in nucleic acid delivery with practical experience in molecular biology research and development.
- Preferred experience with cell-free DNA preparation.
- Familiarity with DNA-related analytics such as gel electrophoresis, capillary electrophoresis, QPCR, and NGS is advantageous.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to foster a supportive work environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to learn and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
- Physical capability to lift up to 15 lbs as needed.
