Job Title: Research Scientist IV

Location: Onsite

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Pay Rate: $80-$85 per hour without benefits

Responsibilities

Analyze Complex Data: Utilize statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to derive meaningful insights from large datasets, including 3D scanned geometry and human factors data.

Perform Exploratory Data Analysis: Identify issues in the data and generate hypotheses to interpret the results of product experiments.

Plan and Execute Statistical Analyses: Focus on wearability and fitment, utilizing large data infrastructure (SQL/NoSQL).

Develop Reusable Analysis Code: Create efficient and scalable code in Python, R, or similar languages.

Improve Data Analysis Pipelines: Enhance the stability and scalability of various deployed systems.

Design and Run Research Studies: Conduct ergonomic and human factors research studies, utilizing methods such as experimental design, survey analysis, motion tracking, and kinematics analysis.

Collaborate with Scientists and Engineers: Translate research questions into analysis tools and results.

Provide Data Visualization Support: Create compelling dashboards and ad-hoc requests to convey complex information to stakeholders effectively.

Participate in Cross-Functional Collaborations: Contribute to experiments, prototypes, and concepts that advance AR/VR systems.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Human Factors, or a related field.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in conducting research and statistical analysis for novel products.

Skills: Experience with Python and/or R, demonstrated ability to perform multivariate analysis, and experience in 3D geometry analysis, human data, and user studies.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in applied research and/or product development related to 3D geometry analysis, particularly in wearable design.

Skills: Prior experience with computer vision, motion capture data analysis, 3D geometry (mesh processing, statistical shape modeling), FEA, and/or CAD, experience with Machine Learning models, deep learning frameworks, and large database infrastructures.
