Position Overview:

The Mechanical Engineering Supervisor will oversee the development of comprehensive design packages for intricate multi-disciplinary projects within the manufacturing sectors, specifically targeting Food, Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), and Life Sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Guidance: You will lead a team of mechanical and plumbing design professionals, ensuring the efficient production of design deliverables while managing departmental workflows and resources.
  • Design Quality: Your role will involve defining and implementing design concepts, maintaining high standards of quality in all construction documents, and ensuring thoroughness in every detail.
  • Technical Coordination: You will facilitate seamless communication and coordination between departments, project managers, and leadership, meticulously reviewing the technical accuracy of all work products.
  • Site Evaluations: Conducting site assessments and preparing detailed technical reports will be crucial, as you work to optimize the use of materials and tools for enhanced project efficiency.
  • Proposal Preparation: You will be responsible for preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for subconsultants, reviewing bids, and providing insightful recommendations on contract awards.
  • Professional Engagement: Active participation in professional organizations that shape industry standards and regulatory guidelines will be an essential aspect of your role.
  • Organizational Growth: Contributing to the growth of Pcmc Inc, you will assist in marketing proposal development and the recruitment of new engineering professionals.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in AEC engineering, specifically with facility mechanical systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in a managerial role within engineering or mechanical departments.
  • Familiarity with refrigeration design and custom plumbing systems for manufacturing facilities is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, mentorship, and communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program is required.
  • An active Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
