Universal Orlando Resort is on the lookout for a skilled professional to become a vital member of our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the redesign and enhancement of mechanical and structural systems for our theme park attractions, aimed at boosting reliability and operational performance.

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Develop and implement design modifications to enhance the safety and dependability of Ride and Show system components.
  • Oversee projects from initial design through to installation, testing, and staff training.
  • Create detailed scope of work documents for engineering initiatives and execute Acceptance Test Procedures.
  • Collaborate with ride supervisors, management, and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve design challenges.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and deliver project updates to senior engineers and management teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accountable for the redesign and development of all Ride & Show systems to improve reliability and operational effectiveness.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, specifically in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering is mandatory.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of engineering project experience within a related field in the theme park sector.
  • 4-6 years of experience in mechanical and structural design for dynamic motion systems.
