Position Overview

The Senior Mechanical Engineer plays a crucial role in applying established engineering principles to design, analyze, test, maintain, and enhance products, components, or assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your specific duties will include:

  • Signing and sealing engineering documentation.
  • Conducting analysis, development, and evaluation of systems.
  • Enhancing existing systems or initiating new projects.
  • Creating and drafting blueprints, conducting field visits, and managing projects.
  • Utilizing engineering techniques and analyses within the defined scope of work.
  • Addressing complex issues with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Engaging directly with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.

This is a Full-Time, Exempt position reporting to the Engineering Director.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient mathematical and computer skills.
  • Technical expertise in mechanical engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities, with flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel (5-10%) to job sites or office locations may be necessary.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
  • Capability to work in various positions and environments, including confined spaces.
  • Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Experience operating machinery and power tools.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform light to heavy physical tasks, including moving objects.
