Universal Orlando Resort is looking for a skilled professional to become a part of our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the redesign and development of mechanical and structural systems for our attractions, focusing on enhancing reliability and operational performance.

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Develop and implement design modifications to enhance the safety and dependability of Ride and Show system equipment.
  • Oversee projects from initial design through to installation, testing, and training phases.
  • Create detailed scope of work documents for engineering initiatives and carry out Acceptance Test Procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with ride supervisors, management, and vendors to address challenges and design concerns.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and provide regular project updates to senior engineers and management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accountable for the redesign and development of all Ride & Show systems to improve reliability and operational effectiveness.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, specifically in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering is required.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of project engineering experience within an engineering setting related to the theme park sector.
  • 4-6 years of experience in mechanical and structural design for dynamic motion systems.
