Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineering Consultant to provide expert guidance and support for various infrastructure projects in both public and private sectors. This role involves critical tasks such as conducting due diligence, investigations, remediation efforts, impact assessments, and permitting processes. You will play a key role in the design, analysis, and construction phases of projects including roads, buildings, tunnels, and other essential structures.

Your Contributions

  • Gather and analyze data from various sources including soil, water, and geological samples to inform project development and design.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control standards for accurate measurements and reporting of environmental data.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and research on site conditions, focusing on subsurface investigations and soil foundation engineering.
  • Utilize advanced modeling techniques to enhance safety and functionality in engineering designs.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to ensure project specifications and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assess site characteristics to identify potential risks related to environmental and geological factors.
  • Prepare detailed reports and visual presentations to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of small to medium-sized projects, contributing to technical documentation and presentations.
  • Conduct geotechnical studies to gather insights for design improvements and future planning.
  • Support the development of Health and Safety Plans for project sites.
  • Work alongside engineers and planners on infrastructure projects funded by various governmental bodies.
  • Uphold ethical standards and responsible decision-making in all aspects of work.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required by project needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical design and engineering.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Strong technical knowledge in geotechnical principles, including foundation design and slope stability.
  • Experience in infrastructure planning and construction management.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both engineering and non-engineering audiences.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and use of design software.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze data and develop practical solutions.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.
  • Flexibility to accommodate project-specific schedules and occasional travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Licensure/Certification.
  • Completion of OSHA Health & Safety Training.
