Position Overview

The Geotechnical Engineer plays a crucial role in analyzing geotechnical data and site plans to develop optimal designs for PV array pile foundations and access roads, ensuring alignment with organizational standards. This position involves managing geotechnical field operations and assisting project stakeholders in navigating unforeseen conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design roadway structures and foundations
  • Evaluate geotechnical reports and suggest further testing
  • Review and propose modifications to foundation and road designs
  • Conduct Pile Lateral Analysis
  • Ensure safety, constructability, and risk management
  • Collaborate with various departments and markets
Financial & Organizational Responsibilities
  • Oversee project financials
  • Engage cross-functionally
  • Manage consultant scopes and associated costs
Reporting Structure & Collaboration
  • Report directly to the Director of Development Engineering
  • Work in conjunction with all departments
  • Coordinate with external service providers
Qualifications & Skills
  • Expertise in foundation analysis software
  • Ability to interpret geotechnical data and communicate risks
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
  • Experience in engineering project management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Proficiency in pile foundation design
