We are seeking a highly skilled Geologist Specialist to join our team at HVJ Associates. As a key member of our geotechnical engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting project managers and other staff to ensure client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform field work, including marking borings, lab testing, and logging behind drill rigs.
- Coordinate field and/or lab assignments to ensure timely completion.
- Conduct engineering analyses for shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, and settlement.
- Draft geotechnical reports for project managers' review.
- Assist project managers in business development and client engagement.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Three to five years of directly related experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Registered Geologist-In-Training (GIT) or in the process of becoming one.
- Excellent written and communication skills, with strong math and science skills.
- Valid Texas driver's license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
