PROGRAM SUMMARY

USCRI oversees a Reception and Placement (R&P) program throughout the United States, in collaboration with the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) under the U.S. Department of State. This program is designed to assist newly resettled refugees in achieving early economic independence and successfully integrating into American society. The Program Officer for Compliance will act as a technical advisor to network offices, focusing on addressing findings and recommendations from monitoring visits to ensure adherence to grant obligations and service excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze findings and recommendations from monitoring reports and assist network offices in developing responsive action plans.
  • Oversee the execution and completion of these action plans, including conducting follow-up monitoring and providing necessary training.
  • Manage grievances related to network offices, ensuring appropriate responses and reporting to PRM as required.
  • Create and maintain informative outreach materials and guides for the USCRI network, facilitating the sharing of best practices through working group calls.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with partner organizations, government entities, and other stakeholders, while keeping current on practices and challenges within USCRI's resettlement network.
  • Represent USCRI in relevant working groups and meetings with U.S. Government and technical assistance providers.
  • Travel to network offices as needed to provide technical support and ensure program compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of two years of experience in a related area, or a Bachelor's degree with at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience in refugee-serving programs or similar initiatives aimed at enhancing access to essential resources for immigrants and underserved populations.
  • Experience in providing training and technical assistance is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently, demonstrating a high degree of self-motivation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with USCRI affiliates, national partners, and funders.
  • Highly adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically several times a year.
  • Commitment to USCRI's values, including respect for diversity, confidentiality, and dedication to human rights for all individuals, including refugees and vulnerable populations.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Successful completion of USCRI's Orientation and Training.
  • Participation in additional training as identified by the supervisor or Human Resources.
