System Administrator

Raytheon Careers is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for providing system administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide system administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Work with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.
- Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
- Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience or 6 years of directly related experience.
- Experience with Linux fundamentals, including bash scripting, patching, and security hardening.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux Operating Systems.
- Ability to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements within 6 months of hire date.
- Master's degree in IT or STEM related field.
- Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, VDI, and ESX virtual computing methods.
- Experience with bash scripting (Perl is also useful).
- Experience with security hardening of Linux systems.
- Active US Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance is strongly preferred.
