About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing system administration support in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide system administration support in a complex IT environment, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues of moderate to high scope and complexity.
  • Work with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of systems and services, including 24x7 support and occasional travel to other locations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience or 6 years of directly related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required.
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux Operating Systems, with a strong understanding of system administration principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Linux Operating Systems, preferably Red Hat.
  • Experience with PC and/or Server architectures and troubleshooting methods, with the ability to develop solutions and documentation for technical problems.
  • Master's degree in IT or a related field, with a strong understanding of system administration and cybersecurity principles.
