About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our heterogeneous Redhat Enterprise Linux environment and Microsoft Windows systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide IT systems administration in a fast-paced technological environment, utilizing troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity.
  • Work as a team member to integrate hardware and operating systems, ensuring seamless system operation.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and ensure compliance with Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
  • Travel to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate, up to 10% per year.
Requirements
  • Typically, Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience or 6 years of directly related experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Must have Linux or Windows experience, with expertise in Active Directory, VMware, Administration, backup and recovery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification).
  • Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
  • Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, and/or Exchange.
  • High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
  • Scripting Experience.
