Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Principal System Administrator to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our infrastructure Workplace Services team, you will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support for a range of administrative tasks, including corrective/preventive maintenance, recurring operations functions, account management, and system optimization.
  • Participate in Change Request reviews and lead technical meetings with team members and other program personnel.
  • Coordinate technical and process document reviews and resolve system administration, engineering, and integration issues.
  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements within 6 months of start date.
  • Work on systems operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
  • Travel required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate.
Requirements
  • Typically, Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience or 12 years of directly related experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Veeam, MySQL, Oracle SQL, and prior systems administration and networking administration experience.
  • Oracle DB experience is a must.
  • Experience in patch management, High Performance Computing, OS Upgrades, computer security, system monitoring and logging, and Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, and/or DoD/RMF and handling classified information.
  • Industry certifications including but not limited to: Security +, CISSP, ITIL, ISC2, PMP etc.
  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements and an Operating System Certification.
  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESXi and/or other virtual computing methods.
