Credit Specialist

Leaf Home is seeking a highly skilled Credit Specialist to join our team. As a Credit Specialist, you will play a critical role in gathering data from sales teams, evaluating credit eligibility, and communicating loan status to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate soft pull credit reports and master finance databases to determine loan acceptance with available financing merchants.
- Follow loan processes through the ready-to-be-funded status, reviewing loan acceptances, obtaining stipulations, and confirming loan acceptance signatures.
- Communicate loan status to sales and installation teams.
- Relay credit decline decisions to sales teams while maintaining customer respect.
- Maintain credit databases to enable reporting and evaluations on merchants.
- Assist in projects related to automating credit review and eligibility processes.
- Calculate commissions and job costing for multiple office locations.
- Conduct weekly training and support for finance platforms, including Versatile, Concur, and PaymentNet.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with commission calculating and reporting.
- Experience working with credit bureaus and merchants.
- Ability to work weekends when necessary to handle weekend credit requests.
- Ability to handle sensitive and personal identifying information with confidentiality and data security.
- Ability to provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to more junior staff.
- Ability to juggle various work activities and shift attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment.
- Hold oneself accountable and responsible while being self-driven in accomplishing goals.
- Detail-oriented and able to focus on tasks at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external stakeholders articulately.
- Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, solve complex problems, and engage in reflection.
- Ability to provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels, keeping peer and customer needs first.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of financial software, including Versatile, Concur, and PaymentNet.
- Strong mathematical skills.
This is a sedentary role that involves sitting most of the time. The work environment is normal and climate-controlled.
