Business Development Leader

Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Proposal Management/Business Development related roles with a strong DoD background. The successful candidate will lead a team to identify, evaluate and cultivate new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and funding streams with current and potential customers.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Business Development professional to join Canvas Inc., a dynamic company recognized as a Great Place to Work Certified TM, Fortune Best Small Workplace TM, and more. As Business Development Director, you will participate in all phases of the company's proposal process and represent the company at industry events, customer meetings, conferences, and internal meetings to promote our capabilities and strategic growth initiatives. You will also develop and manage a pipeline of contract opportunities and proactively develop teams of partners to ensure a high win probability. In addition, you will be responsible for leading proposal teams to develop win themes, capture plans, and proposal strategy. This role requires excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to build and maintain long-term partner and customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field and a network of government decision-makers and DoD teaming partners. Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
