Position Overview: As a Mental Health Clinician, you will deliver intensive therapy in home and community settings to children at risk of or currently involved in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Your work will prioritize inclusivity and respect for all clients, families, and colleagues, regardless of their diverse backgrounds. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to formulate and assess treatment objectives, and utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques through a trauma-informed perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver intensive therapy in home and community settings to children involved in or at risk of involvement in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems.
  • Actively promote inclusion for all clients, families, and colleagues, irrespective of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or marital status.
  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessment interviews with clients, families, and/or significant others in accordance with agency policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with an integrated team of caseworkers, behavioral assistants, and other clinicians to develop, review, and evaluate treatment goals, provide resources, advocacy, perform routine assessments, and foster relationships with clients and families.
  • Implement evidence-based counseling techniques through a trauma-informed lens.
  • Engage in the Agency's Continuous Quality Improvement process by collecting and analyzing case information.
  • Empower families to actively participate in their treatment by incorporating family voice and choice.
  • Adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics to guide your professional conduct and maintain high standards of professionalism in the community, with clients, schools, courts, and referring agencies.
  • Participate in all required program meetings, including weekly supervision, monthly clinical group supervision, tracking rundown, staff meetings, and other meetings as scheduled by your supervisor.
  • Meet weekly service delivery requirements with clients and families.
Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in human services, healthcare, or nonprofit organizations.
  • Exhibit a safe, strengths-based approach while utilizing everyday behavior opportunities to teach, guide, and support youth and families in achieving their goals and overcoming challenges.
  • Ability to manage behaviors using counseling techniques, program structure, guidelines, and crisis intervention, while employing metrics to ensure accountability.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Strong crisis management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, particularly when engaging with youth of all ages.
  • Experience managing in-home and community-based strengths-oriented services for clients and families.
  • Proficient in building relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, clients, families, schools, law enforcement, and other community resources.
Education and Certifications:
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in social work - Required.
  • LCSW/LICSW/LMHC - Preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and registered/inspected vehicle - Required.
  • Bilingual; English, Spanish, Portuguese, Creole - Preferred.
Compensation: Salary range: $60,000-$72,000
