About this opportunity:

The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory is seeking a highly skilled Individual Gifts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for implementing and conducting an individual donor fundraising strategy to significantly increase the impact of individual giving for the National Capitol Area Command.

You will ensure the highest ethical standards for fundraising that will provide support to and enable the programs and services of the National Capitol Area Command. Your primary goal will be to raise funds through donations generated from individuals, for the National Capitol Area Command.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or related field
  • Three years of experience in major giving and non-profit fundraising; experience with a fund-raising CRM, preferably Raisers Edge, as well as experience with Wealth Engine
  • Valid Driver's License and must meet TSA MVR Requirements
  • Fundraising Certificate (CFRE), preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, lifting, and carrying (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.

Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts, occasionally work is performed off-site and can be associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
