Amazon Services LLC is seeking a Senior Program Manager to advance the Black Business Accelerator (BBA) within the Undiscovered and Small Business Growth Accelerator (USBA)

As part of the USBA initiative, Amazon has committed significant resources to empower Black entrepreneurs through the BBA. This program provides essential educational, financial, and advisory support to help Black-owned businesses succeed as sellers on Amazon.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong customer-centric approach regarding financial products that bolster Amazon's Black Business Accelerator. You will play a pivotal role in promoting sustainable growth for Black-owned businesses by facilitating their success as sellers.

We are looking for an experienced program manager who values access to capital for underrepresented communities and demonstrates sound judgment, business acumen, and self-motivation.

In this capacity, you will collaborate with internal teams to pinpoint financial literacy and inclusion opportunities while offering unique resources for businesses within the USBA framework. Additionally, you will engage closely with various teams within Amazon and external partners.

This role is highly impactful and necessitates close collaboration with company leadership to drive financial inclusion initiatives aimed at supporting and enhancing the business growth of Black and other underrepresented communities.

The ideal candidate is driven, organized, comfortable with ambiguity, and highly collaborative. You will be expected to innovate and implement creative strategies to enhance the financial and business knowledge of USBA participants while working closely with the PM, Strategic Capital to ensure that financial products like grants and credits are complemented with education and support.

You will need to think strategically about developing and reporting metrics and KPIs to guide enhancements of current and future products and initiatives. Being detail-oriented, experienced in program management, and possessing excellent written communication skills are essential for delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a financial literacy and inclusion strategy to enhance USBA business finance knowledge
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote financial literacy initiatives benefiting Black and undiscovered business owners
  • Lead a pan-Amazon group focused on financial inclusion to create relevant financial products
  • Establish and optimize mechanisms for the long-term expansion and success of a financial literacy program
  • Track and communicate learnings and effectiveness to internal stakeholders
  • Develop and report metrics and KPIs to drive improvements
  • Effectively communicate complex decisions and potential solutions to leaders
  • Anticipate emerging issues and drive the development of new opportunities
  • Align cross-functional teams to achieve strategic capital goals
About the Team

The Black Business Accelerator (BBA) at Amazon supports Black-owned businesses by addressing barriers to access, opportunity, and advancement resulting from societal and historical disparities. The program provides financial support, business guidance, mentorship, and marketing assistance to Black business owners to help them grow sustainably.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience in using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience in managing program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and presenting results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Master's degree
  • 3+ years of experience working cross-functionally with non-tech teams
