About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director, Strategic Planning and Management to join our team at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This is a critical role that will play a key part in driving the strategic direction of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Operations
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
    • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives and drive business results.
    • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement organizational strategies.
  • Measurement, Learning, and Evaluation
    • Develop and implement measurement frameworks to track progress and evaluate the effectiveness of our programs.
    • Lead the development of learning agendas and evaluation plans to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address gaps in our measurement and evaluation capabilities.
  • Culture Building and Change Management
    • Lead efforts to build a positive and inclusive culture within the organization.
    • Develop and implement change management strategies to drive cultural transformation.
    • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement organizational change initiatives.
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead a team of professionals to achieve strategic objectives and drive business results.
    • Develop and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
    • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement organizational strategies.
Requirements
  • Advanced Degree
    • Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • 15+ years of experience in strategic planning, operations, and leadership roles.
  • Skills
    • Proven track record of driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
    • Ability to analyze complex data and develop insights to inform strategic decision-making.
