Position Overview:

Are you prepared to enhance your career in finance? We are seeking a proactive and skilled individual to join our team as a Finance Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration with Leadership: Partner with the Director of Finance to establish and uphold strong financial controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Contribute to both long-term and short-term financial strategies, laying the groundwork for the organization's future.
  • Comprehensive Financial Oversight: Manage all facets of general accounting, cash management, and accounts payable, ensuring precision and effectiveness.
Essential Duties:
  • Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and cash management, while providing leadership and support to the accounting team.
  • Oversee payroll and headcount reconciliations against budget.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual balance sheet and profit & loss forecasts.
  • Mentor and onboard staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Review and authorize monthly general ledger journal entries.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow by overseeing bank balances and cash requirements; approve disbursements and authorize transfers.
  • Maintain asset registers and ensure timely calculation and payment of use taxes.
  • Enhance accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies in line with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Analyze current procedures to develop, implement, and improve accounting processes.
  • Lead annual internal and external audits by providing necessary information and managing deliverables.
  • Stay updated on industry knowledge through educational opportunities and professional development.
  • Analyze accounting data and generate financial reports or statements.
  • Manage monthly closing processes, leading the team in P&L analysis and requirements.
  • ERP System Support: Act as a resource for our ERP system, ensuring financial transaction integrity and maintaining posting controls.
  • Data Reconciliation: Reconcile ERP data to ensure accurate reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful financial insights.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in ERP/CRM tools.
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a disciplined approach to implementation and documentation.
  • Ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Sound knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles.
  • Independent decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in leading and training teams.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
Education and Experience:
  • 6+ years of experience in accounting and finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Master's degree or CPA/CMA preferred.
  • Experience in financial planning and reporting.
  • Experience in data analysis and visualization.
