Senior Employee Benefits Account Manager

Position Overview:
The Senior Employee Benefits Account Manager will oversee essential relationships within our Major Accounts Division, engaging with both current and prospective clients on a daily basis. This role involves the development and execution of sophisticated employee benefits strategies while delivering tailored services to our most intricate clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver strategic guidance to our most intricate clients, covering areas such as contribution strategies, employee engagement, benefits education, underwriting, employee retention, pharmacy benefit management, and plan design.
  • Serve as the primary client-facing contact for daily client requirements, issue resolution, vendor partner coordination, and meeting arrangements. Collaborate closely with the VP of Major Accounts to address elevated needs and negotiations.
  • Work within a dedicated client-specific team to fulfill all client requirements. A successful Account Manager will bring confidence, experience, and strategic recommendations to effectively meet the needs of both existing and emerging clients.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all clients through various communication channels, including phone, in-person meetings, email, and written correspondence.
  • Evaluate client needs and offer advice on suitable coverage levels and product options.
  • Assist clients with necessary documentation, including consultations with their staff and legal advisors when required.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from existing or potential clients.
  • Identify additional product offerings for current clients to enhance sales opportunities and address customer needs.
  • Address customer complaints and resolve issues satisfactorily.
  • Maintain ongoing customer service post-sale and regularly review client needs while updating their records.
  • Stay informed about all products and services provided by the agency.
  • Participate in industry training programs as needed.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Required Skills:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a client-facing leadership role.
• Proven expertise in managing large, complex, strategic clients.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• Experience in cultivating and advancing relationships with primary client contacts.
• Flexibility to attend client meetings as necessary.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Creative and efficient in preparing materials for client presentations.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex employee benefits accounts.
• Strong customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Life & Health Producer license preferred; consulting license is a plus.
