Sign-On Bonus: $1,000

Licensing Requirement: Must possess an active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Maine.

Work Schedule:
2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM with a weekend rotation every 2-3 weeks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the orientation, training, and competency evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians.
  • Oversee workflow and reassign Pharmacy Technicians as necessary.
  • Develop and manage Pharmacy Technician schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Accurately fill prescription orders and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
  • Prepare various forms of medications, including non-sterile compounding.

Additional Duties May Include:
  • Managing controlled substances in compliance with regulations.
  • Utilizing automated systems for drug repackaging.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and managing expired medications.
  • Inputting patient data and medication orders into the pharmacy system.
  • Compounding and sanitizing IV medications and equipment.
  • Maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Completing other assigned tasks as required.

All responsibilities must be conducted in accordance with the company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, policies, and applicable laws. To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively.


Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
Required: Experience in a long-term care pharmacy setting.
Desired: Previous supervisory experience.

Skills:
Required: Basic knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medication terminology, and the metric system; proficiency in computer operations.
Desired: Skills in workflow management, scheduling, and performance oversight.
