Position Overview

We are seeking a Consultant specializing in Insurance Consulting to deliver results aligned with Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, and 5) People Development. In this role, you will assess the business and technological challenges faced by our insurance clients and devise innovative solutions to facilitate transformation. Your responsibilities will include engaging in the requirements analysis process, fostering strong relationships with clients and team members, and developing industry and domain expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consulting services that address business challenges and identify necessary process enhancements.
  • As a Product Owner, articulate and drive the product vision and strategy, maintaining close communication with stakeholders.
  • Establish a clear and ambitious product vision, effectively communicating it to key stakeholders and team members.
  • Oversee the complete product strategy from inception to execution, ensuring business value upon production.
  • Formulate solutions, business cases, and roadmaps, presenting comprehensive recommendations.
  • Develop a clear product vision, strategy, value proposition, and measurable KPIs.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to align product roadmaps for market leadership.
  • Enhance knowledge of the insurance industry and technology, focusing on personal and commercial lines of business.
  • Drive outcomes in insurance technology products, ensuring smooth development across multiple stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance practice capabilities through the development of service offerings and case studies.

Qualifications:

  • 5 - 8 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Owner.
  • 4 years of experience in an agile environment.
  • Proven track record in managing product development deliverables, including requirements gathering and user story creation.
  • In-depth understanding of the Life and Annuity insurance sector is essential.
  • Strong background in operations processing and commissions experience is advantageous.
  • Business Analyst designation (CBAP) is preferred.
  • Experience in collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into functional specifications.
  • Expertise in eliciting requirements and developing solutions that meet business needs.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills are necessary for defining business needs and identifying appropriate solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
