Position Overview

We are seeking a Consultant in Insurance Consulting who will excel in delivering on Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. In this role, you will assess the business and technological challenges faced by our insurance clients and devise innovative solutions to facilitate transformation. Your responsibilities will include engaging in the requirements analysis process, fostering strong relationships with clients and team members, and cultivating industry and domain knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consulting services that address business challenges and identify necessary process enhancements.
  • As a Product Owner, shape and drive the product vision and strategy, maintaining close communication with stakeholders.
  • Articulate a clear product vision and effectively communicate it to key stakeholders and team members.
  • Oversee the complete product strategy from inception to production, ensuring business value is realized.
  • Develop comprehensive solutions, business cases, and roadmaps, presenting clear recommendations.
  • Establish a well-defined product vision, strategy, value proposition, and measurable KPIs.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to maintain market leadership.
  • Enhance knowledge of the insurance sector, focusing on personal and commercial lines, including transformation programs.
  • Drive product outcomes in insurance technology, ensuring smooth development across various stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to build practice capabilities through the development of service offerings and case studies.

Qualifications:

  • 5 - 8 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Owner.
  • 4 years of experience in an agile environment.
  • Experience in managing product development deliverables, including requirements gathering and user story creation.
  • Proven knowledge of the Life and Annuity insurance sector is essential.
  • A strong background in operations processing and commissions experience is advantageous.
  • Business Analyst designation (CBAP) is preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into functional specifications.
  • Proficiency in eliciting requirements and developing solutions that align with business needs.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills are necessary.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
