Finance Team Leader

Silencer Central, a rapidly expanding organization recognized for its impressive growth, is seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to enhance our financial operations. Our commitment to compliance and community education in firearm sound suppression has been our hallmark since 2005.
Classification: Full-time; Exempt
Shift: Monday – Friday, core hours 8:30am-5:00pm
Position Summary:
The Finance Manager plays a crucial role within the Finance department, facilitating data-driven decision-making through effective budget management, forecasting, and internal reporting as the company continues to evolve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of annual budgets, from initial planning through to final review.
- Manage the preparation of regular financial forecasts, enhancing techniques for improved accuracy and relevance.
- Supervise expense allocation and transfer pricing processes to optimize revenue evaluation.
- Lead monthly management reporting of financial outcomes, providing variance analysis and additional internal reporting as required.
- Act as the primary contact for financial assessments of new projects and capital investments.
- Drive expense management initiatives by collaborating with internal teams to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
- Identify and address data integrity issues through proactive initiatives.
- Maintain professional credibility through respectful interactions, demonstrating financial acumen and alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with operational leaders as necessary.
- Ensure a high standard of accuracy, timeliness, and accountability in all tasks.
Supervisory Duties:
The Finance Manager will lead a team, including at least one analyst, with responsibilities including:
- Participating in recruitment and training of new team members.
- Ensuring departmental processes are documented and adhered to by all team members.
- Facilitating constructive feedback between team members.
- Prioritizing team objectives to achieve key goals.
- Setting performance goals for team members and ensuring accountability.
- Identifying opportunities for team training and development.
- Modeling the organization's core values and encouraging similar behavior among team members.
- Providing guidance and corrective feedback to team members as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is required.
- A minimum of five years of experience in Finance, with a solid understanding of Accounting principles and processes.
- Experience presenting financial results to operational leaders is essential.
- Ability to analyze and interpret business drivers for financial activities.
- Strong skills in interpreting, analyzing, and summarizing both financial and non-financial data.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication of complex concepts.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Previous finance leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000, depending on experience. Silencer Central offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes:
